Agricore-United Elevators


Alberta Wheat Pool Amalgamated with UGG on November 1, 2001.
There are 13 wooden Agricore-United elevators left in Alberta. 11 are owned by Agricore-United, and 2 are independently owned.

Alliance, Alberta


Alliance is located north of Castor on Highway 36, and is at the terminus of the Camrose - Alliance CN line. This elevator is the only wooden one left operating on the entire line.

Beiseker, Alberta



This elevator is located on the CN (originally Grand Trunk Pacific) line running from Camrose to Calgary. This was originally an Alberta Wheat Pool, but became a Agricore in 1997, then Agricore-United in 2001. This elevator is still in operation.

Bow Island, Alberta


This elevator is located in Bow Island on Highway 3, about 53 kilometres east of Taber. It is the only wooden elevator left in the town.

Camrose, Alberta



Camrose is located 45 kilometres east of Wetaskiwin, and was originally on three rail lines (CN, Grand Trunk Pacific and CP), but is now on two lines (CN and CP). These two elevators, as well as a seed plant (not shown) are the only wooden elevators owned by Agricore-United.

Edmonton, Alberta


This elevator complex is located North-east Edmonton, and is the CN rail line.

Grand Prairie, Alberta



These two elevators are located in northern Grand Prairie, along the Savage Alberta (formerly NAR, CN, Alberta Rail Net) railroad. One is a seed plant.

Hythe, Alberta.


This elevator is the furthest north-west Agricore-United elevator in Alberta, and is located 55 kilometres NW of Grand Prairie on Highway 43.

Tempest, Alberta


Tempest is located 6 kilometres east of Coaldale, and was originally owned by Alberta Pacific. This elevator is now privately owned. It is on the CP line running from Lethbridge to the Saskatchewan border.

Vegreville, Alberta



Located about 90 kilometres east of Edmonton on Highway 16, and is on the CN main line from Edmonton to Lloydminister. The buffalo bin elevator on the west side was sold to a private owner, and the Agricore-United elevator is located on the east side of Vegreville.

Warner, Alberta


Located in southern Alberta along Highway 4, this elevator was owned by Agricore-United, and is now owned by Demeter Agro.
